Scholarship
The AbuSulayman Center for Global Islamic Studies is home to a vibrant community of scholars whose work spans continents, disciplines, and historical eras. Through innovative research projects supported by leading foundations, the Center has established itself as a global hub for the study of Islam’s cross-regional and cross-cultural connections. Our faculty and affiliated scholars are internationally recognized leaders in their fields, producing publications that shape debates in history, political science, anthropology, and religious studies. The Center also convenes conversations of global significance through its lectures and public programming, which bring distinguished voices from around the world to engage with questions at the intersection of Islam, society, and governance. Taken together, these activities reflect the breadth and depth of the Center’s scholarship and its commitment to advancing rigorous, multidisciplinary understanding of the Muslim world in both past and present.
