The Cultural Studies Colloquium will host a talk by Farha Ghannam, associate professor of Anthropology at Swathmore College. She is the author of Remaking the Modern: Space, Relocation, and the Politics of Identity in a Global Cairo and the co-editor (with Hania Sholkamy) of Health and Identity in Egypt. Her research interests include urban anthropology, globalization and transnationalism, and the Middle East and North Africa.
