Virtual Pilgrimage to Mecca & Alaqsa VR experience

As part of its annual conference on Muslim Futures, the AbuSulayman Center for Global Islamic Studies at George Mason University is excited to offer members of the Mason community the opportunity to visit two of Islam’s holiest sites in virtual reality (VR). 

In partnership with the Center for Islam in the Contemporary World (Shenandoah University), students and faculty/staff can visit the Fenwick Library [ROOM DETAILS TBD] from Apr 15-17, put on VR headsets and be transported to the Grand Mosque in the city of Mecca or to the Al-Aqsa compound and the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.
