Professor Peter Mandaville, Director of the Ali Vural Ak Center for Global Islamic Studies, addressed policymakers at the Middle East Policy Council's 68th annual Capitol Hill Conference on April 11. The panel titled "The Transformation of Political Islam in the Arab Awakening" featured Professor Mandaville alongside other leading experts, including John Voll, Associate Director of Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, Steven Kull from the Program on International Policy Attitudes, Alexis Arieff from the Congressional Research Service, and Thomas Mattair, Executive Director of the Middle East Policy Council.
