Bassam Haddad, Director of Middle East Studies, was invited to speak on February 21 at George Washington University on a panel titled "The Future of Syria", broadcast on C-SPAN. Salwa Ismail from the University of London and Steven Heydemann from the U.S. Institute for Peace also presented their analysis in the discussion, which was moderated by Marc Lynch, Director of the Institute for Middle East Studies at George Washington University.
