Research Overview

neh mjbResearch and scholarship play a major role in the life of the center and are at the heart of the center's mission to provide a sound and nuanced understanding of the Islamic faith, its role in world history, and its current patterns of globalization.

In pursuit of its research mission, the center sponsors major  conferences and workshops to showcase the work of both established and emerging scholars in the field of Islamic studies. In addition, since its founding almost ten years ago, the center has been awarded federal and private grants to support research projects by its distinguished faculty, by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, British Council and the El-Hibri Foundation.
